When searching for whether Dynaconf was the best choice for config files, I came across this website named Pip Trends, which I was quite impressed with (that it existed). I assume the website has a storage limit, so it shows only the download trends for the past 6 months.

The website even shows the number of GitHub stars, open issues and other useful information which can help in decision making.
Surprisingly, Dynaconf was at the bottom of the download trends. I had initially zeroed in on Dynaconf because it seemed to follow the twelve factor app guidelines. However, looking at the popularity of Pydantic (seeing that it's good for config management too), it looks like I'll have to evaluate the functionality of both, in order to decide.
Kudos to the creators of PipTrends. A very necessary vacuum filled in the world of software comparisons.
Similarly, there's also npmtrends.
